Clinical Approach

My approach to psychotherapy is grounded in a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental stance, with a focus on helping clients build more connected, meaningful lives. I work from a strengths-based perspective—honoring each individual’s resilience and potential—while also supporting meaningful symptom relief and more effective ways of coping with life’s stressors. Therapy, to me, is a shared process: I aim to be a thoughtful, steady partner as you move toward greater clarity, connection, and purpose.

I have specialized training in working with individuals navigating chronic illness as well as eating and weight-related concerns, and I work across the lifespan, including with children, adolescents, college students, and adults.

My clinical work is grounded in evidence-based treatments with strong empirical support. I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), radically open DBT (RO-DBT), meaning-centered psychotherapy (MCP), interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT), supportive parenting for anxious childhood emotions (SPACE), and family-based therapy (FBT), tailoring each approach to meet the unique needs of the individual or family.

Many people seek therapy when they are feeling anxious, disconnected, overwhelmed, or struggling in relationships—or when they find it difficult to care for themselves or those they love. Therapy can also be a space for growth: to deepen self-understanding, reduce stress and burnout, strengthen resilience, and cultivate a greater sense of connection, meaning, and moments of awe in everyday life.
